A year ago I made the decision to stop driving and take the bus or walk when necessary. As a result, I save money in gas and my spending has lowered because I find it too inconvenient to wait on a bus to grab lunch or walk through the rain to do a "little" shopping. Also, I do one weekly shopping with my husband and if there is anything that I forgot to put on the list, I now simply work around it or do without rather than hop in the car and drive a couple of times a week to shop.
