You know what you want to do. What are your ultimate goals? How are you going to get there? Sometimes they seem monumental. Set mini-goals. Weekly, monthly, or longer, and post them. Write them out in a blog, journal, or on paper and POST IT. Be accountable, check them off and be proud! You did it!!
My mini goals-some are weight and food related, some aren't. I make sure my goals are NOT :"Lose 2 pounds this week", BUT are things like, "Work out 6 of 7 days, 3 of them cardio, 3 ST". and "Get 5+serving of freggies daily". "Make a stranger smile 4 of 7 days" Make them achievable & challenging!

I have started setting mini goals each day and then set about achieving them. I either post them online or write on a sheet of paper so I can see them and do what I said I was going to do. It is helping to work harder!205At the end of the day I post or write down that I achieved them.
When I started my journey I was great following healthy foods and giving up all the "junk" foods I was eating...then the "cravings" started... I wanted to eat everything...that was full of fat and carbs and so high in calories it was going to put on 20 lbs in one meal!!~~ Started to chat to myself...lol...I do that often...AND made a pact with myself...that IF I hit a mini-goal...I would "Treat" myself to ONE of those cravings~~BUT I had to go right back to my healthy foods....334
So Along comes first mini goal...I had my "fatty fast food treat" and DID go right back on my healthy eating plan....then set another Mini goal....and started "PLANNING" my next "treat"... May not be everyone's Cup of Tea...but it motivated me to get to each new mini-goal and I lost 90 lbs~224
We all try to 'GO FOR THE GOAL', but it always seems so far away. If we choose 'mini-goals' for which to work, it sure makes the process more enjoyable. If you have 75 lbs to lose, it can mess with your head because we think that it will take us a long time to reach it, and get totally bummed. However, if you choose a mini-goal to work for, you have more joyful occasions that will help keep you motivated to work toward that ultimate goal.
If you start at 223, the first mini-goal might be at 220, then maybe 215. Then when you get to 200, you can have a little bit bigger celebration!!
Working toward those mini-goals sure does help me!
