Measuring and weighing foods can seem like a chore at times but it is far too easy to underestimate portion sizes and fool ourselves into thinking we're eating less than we are. Make the small investment in measuring cups spoons ladles and a good kitchen scale....then use them!

I weigh and measure for a while and then I feel like I can "eye" my portions pretty well. But I always go back to weighing and measuring every few weeks to be sure my eye is still accurate :)
