"No" only leads to your feeling deprived and gives power to the forbidden food which has become so much more appealing. On the other hand, if you say "not now," you are taking the power back in your hands. It allows for the possibility that at some time in the future, you will let those empty calories in but not here and now, not today - not for ever, just not now!"
Every morning, I make a to do list. Then, I prioritize items I must get done today as 1's. Urgent, but not today as 2's, all the way to 5's. I use yesterday,s as a starting point and add to it. It keeps me motivated and focused.334
