Before I do laundry, I check all the pockets. Whatever I find goes straight into a jar. I just tallied up my jar that I have been saving since January and lo and behold I had accumulated 22 dollars!!!

Making laundry into exercise
When you're doing laundry you can increase the number of steps you take by taking one item at a time out of the hamper and putting it in the washer. That's a lot of walking back and forth especially if you move the hamper further away from the washer. If you are unbundling socks or checking pockets and haven't finished by the time you reach the washer, walk around in front of it until you're ready to put the item in the machine.

You can also take more steps when unloading the dryer by taking out one item at a time. If you're up for it, you can also do a squat each time you reach into the dryer or front loading washer.
