Secrets of Success

This series of workouts really are the toughest CARDIO workouts on DVD. You have to be in pretty good shape already. Do not attempt unless you are already an advanced exerciser. You could really injure yourself.

I completely agree - Insanity is intense! But I love it and even though I'm not exactly an "advanced" exerciser (still out of shape), I am still benefitting from this program by doing all of the crazy exercises at my own pace and taking rests when I need them. If you are willing to push your limits (but not so much that you go overboard and hurt yourself), you will greatly improve your entire body with Insanity.

One thing I'd like to add is that if you have any back or knee problems, this program isn't for you. There's a lot of jumping and a ton of high-impact moves, and it's all very intense. - by OSHKA77
  • I love Insanity. I think the workouts are fun & challenging. It is the only exercise DVD that burns calories at a rate comparable to what I burn when I run.
The only thing I don't like are the "background" performers being overly dramatic during the workout. I don't like that some of they don't use proper form. - by INDYCHX
  • I have tried it. However all through the video Sean T does say go at your own rate. I did it and pushed myself to my own limits for the time. I have to admit it was good and rough. I did mine with some co-workers who brought in the DVD. I hope to catch them when they do it again. - by BIGTOSS03
  • I really want to try this! Waiting for the price to come down though- pricey! - by SEMUSPARK
  • I agree, you shouldn't try going from the couch to Insanity. Do another program first, since this is very high impact and advanced. I love Insanity, but I caution everyone that Sean T doesn't show many modifications. I use a bosu for a lot of the plank moves. - by LSDALOIA
