I HATE doing my cardio....it gets easier to physically do it every week....but if I don't do it as soon as reasonably possible in the day, there if far more of a chance I can justify "blowing it off"...my motivation and resolve is at its high point in the mornings and I use that "push" to get my cardio DONE for the day...
For Fat Burning-Just Keep Moving!!! Go for time instead of distance or intensity
No matter what type cardio I am doing-I just keep moving...even if I have to slow it down from a jog to a very slow walk. I started going for time (one hour) instead of distance or intensity. I tell myself to be the last one on the track. Often i get a second wind a can jog more later on
Once I started doing over an hour of cardio (running/walking/jogging) I started seeing a difference around my waistline.
I joined a gym for a discount because they want to use me to advertise! Now I'm accountable to a gym for my weight loss and exercise! I have to go a minimum of three times a week to stay in the contract. Talk about motivation!
I've discovered that doing cardio before and after strength training helps keep me from getting stiff and sore.
