These are so delicious ~ they have a little kick! I purchase the 1/4 lb. size and put pineapples on top and they are to die for! They are 100% vegetarian. Each burger is 210 calories, 7g fat, 17 g protein and 0 cholesterol. Try them!

Whenever I eat protein, like a soy patty or lean turkey sausage, with my bkfst, as opposed to whole grain cereal/oatmeal and fruit, I am fuller and more satisfied longer. Both types of meals are still 300 calories, but I am more satisfied with protein. It helps me stay on track.

Beans are nutritious and digested slowly so it will cause only a gentle rise in blood sugar. Diabetics who eat lots of beans require less insulin to control blood sugar. Lots of beans...Black Beans, Black-eyed peas, Cannellini, Garbanzo, Fava, Great Northers, Kidney, Lentils, Navy, Pinto, Red beans, split peas, and mung beans. Mash some for a sandwich spead or as a stand in for cream cheese or sour cream in dips. Try garbanzo's and tuna or pea soup with turkey instead of bacon or ham.
