Start at the ceiling, vacuum/clean of all dust, cobwebs, etc. around the entire room. Then start at the left or right of the door and go in a circle around the room cleaning. If there's an interruption you can SEE where you left off. Finish with the floor, vacuum/mop your way out the door.
MORE INFORMATION:
You work in a circle and include everything in your way as you're working, whether it's pieces of art, windows, etc. Don't forget the baseboards as you are doing the floor. When you work your way out the door, then shut the door to prevent any dirt entering from other cleaning you're doing.

Going to start doing this. When I am cleaning house everytime I clean one room I will walk on my treadmill for about 20 minutes. Doing this I will have a clean house (a workout doing this) and then I will have my walking in also.
I find it great to clean an area a day quickly. I divided our house by 5 area & clean one area daily. By doing that I only have quick pick up and put away to keep house cleaner on Saturday for the weekend! Sunday I don't clean.30
