Even with proper cleaning sometimes we end up with those pesky fruit flies. They are one of the easiest pest to bait & kill without buying chemicals. A quick & easy trap is to set out a bowl of vinegar with 2-3 drops of citrus smelling liquid dish soap. Attracts the flies & they drown. Freshen daily

Get Rid Of Fruit Flies Naturally - Glass Jar, Paper, Fruit, & Vinegar Needed
Place piece(s) of fruit-melon/banana/etc-at the bottom of glass jar. Create a cone out of paper, balance on rim of jar so the opening at the pointy end is just big enough that a fruit fly can get through & does not touch the fruit at bottom of jar. (See more info for rest)
The fruit flies will get into the jar through the tiny hole but won't be able to get out. After you've completed your fruit fly trap, wipe down ALL surfaces (counters, appliances, etc) with white vinegar. Leave your trap overnight. It's shocking to see them all in the morning stuck in the jar!
Fruit flies can be controlled with a solution of apple cider vinegar and honey. 1/4 cup vinegar 1 tsp honey. Leave the solution in a shallow dish near where you have the fruit flies for a couple days. If you have a lot of fruit flies put out more than one dish.
