I keep a calendar on my wall. My fitness goal: 30 minutes minimum daily. As I have fibromyalgia, daily exercise was recommended by my doctors. Any day in which I do my 30 minutes or more, I give myself a sticker for the calendar. Yeah me! Really helps me see my commitment in action: all year long!
ps: I do any and every kind of exercise; walking, yoga, pilates, weight training, spinning class, belly dance, cardio salsa, zumba, swimming, hiking: anything at all: as long as it's 30 minutes minimum.

I buy some colorful, positive stickers that others may use for their children's "sticker charts" and keep them by a wall calendar prominently hanging in my open kitchen/living area. I track the days I've met my exercise goals by slapping one of those on. The best thing is to see how many stickers are on each day/week/month. I even found some stickers that are motivational--they say "good job!", "excellent", etc. Works for me!
I actually use star stickers to mark my progress on a wall calendar. Whenever I complete a daily goal, I put a star sticker on that day. It seems so silly, but it really works! I find myself really trying to fill that calendar month with stars!
My three daily goals are: workout for 60+ minutes, eat 5 servings of fruits and veggies, and drink my water.
I also use big smiley stickers when I hit a weight-loss goal. I like having a noticeable "happy" reminder of what I've accomplished in a high traffic area!
I give myself a non-food reward everyday that I exercise or stay on track (including rest days). On my hanging calendar, I give myself one sticker for every workout, rest day, goal met... it's amazing what a filled calendar looks like filled with stickers and how it makes you feel.334
go shopping for your fave stickers, or use a big marker/crayon etc...to make a huge check mark. You want the stickers or check visible from very far away. that way, whenever you catch a glimpse of your calendar, you can see your accomplishments, which are many and amazing!
