Especially bad habits! If you want to break a bad habit, you must simply replace it with a good habit. Replace something unconstructive with something constructive. Chew gum instead of candy. Replace soda with water. Replace snacking with a walk. Replace couch sitting for floor sitting & exercise.

Find anything and everything about personal development. Books, audio, magazine articles, web blogs. Instead of listening to music in my vehicle or while at the house, I keep a rotation of motivational and inspirational cd's. Tony Robbins, Zig Ziglar, WHOEVER! It really doesn't matter what the topic is as long as it's positive! You don't have to take notes or give it undivided attention. Just having it playing in the background of your daily tasks. One of the best ways I found to increase my veggie intake was to explore new kinds by making one day a week vegetarian. I explored new recipes, which had me trying new vegetables or preparing them in new ways. I still like my lean proteins, but I also look forward to my veggie days too.
One of my quick and easy faves is a grilled veggie sandwich. Sliced Eggplant, sliced zucchini, sliced onion, sliced bell pepper, grilled (mine is on the George Foreman). Put it on some whole wheat bread, roll or pita with a slice of swiss cheese and some hummus or roasted pepper spread.
