High fiber bars are my secret weapon to not feeling deprived. I like Fiber One and Fiber Plus- both have 9 grams fiber! About 130 cal. Eating Right (from Safeway) has a nice 100 cal nutrition bar too. I use for breakfast along with fruit and a little cottage cheese. Or I use for a snack.

I just discovered Kellogg's Fiber Plus bars with coconut, chocolate and caramel. I love Girl Scout Samoas but they're aren't exactly healthy. I used to put them in the fridge because to me they tasted heavenly that way. Now I put the fiber bars in the fridge and they taste very much like the Samoas only healthier and with more fiber. Woot!
Today I discovered Trader Joe's Fiberful natural dried fruit and fiber bars. Yum! Delicious, satisfying 60 calorie bars of dried fruit, with 6 grams fiber. One fruit or carb exchange (14 g) individually wrapped to slip in my purse. Next time I'm getting all the flavors.
As a type 2 diabetic, I'm always on the lookout for single carb exchange snacks that are non-perishable and easy to take wherever I go.
