I reached my first mini-weight loss goal this week. I started Spark with the intentions of getting my A1C under control, which I did in June. Keeping my food journal everyday and the motivational articles on Spark, have just worked in amazing ways for me.

When you trying to lose weight, set up mini goal weights that you want o reach and when you reach a mini weight goal, reward yourself with a non-food item like book, exercise DVD, or clothing, Now only will this help you feel proud of your accomplishment, you'll also own something new!
We all try to 'GO FOR THE GOAL', but it always seems so far away. If we choose 'mini-goals' for which to work, it sure makes the process more enjoyable. If you have 75 lbs to lose, it can mess with your head because we think that it will take us a long time to reach it, and get totally bummed. However, if you choose a mini-goal to work for, you have more joyful occasions that will help keep you motivated to work toward that ultimate goal.

If you start at 223, the first mini-goal might be at 220, then maybe 215. Then when you get to 200, you can have a little bit bigger celebration!!
