Nothing motivates me more than to listen to a great audio book. It makes you want to keep going if you are at a climactic part or keeps you coming back day after day to see what is going to happen next. I set my treadmill or recumbent at the intensity I'm aiming for that day and go for it!

    I do this also. It makes the time go so much faster and the walking is a lot less boring. I get most of my audiobooks free from the library downloads. A good book also makes a long vehicle or bus trip more enjoyable.

    Oh, I also have a subscription to Audible.com, which makes the audiobooks cheaper. I figured out that the price of the membership plus the reduced price of the one book I've bought so far this year was cheaper than that one audiobook would have been on its own, so I'm already happy :).

    I love audiobooks because during busy times in my life I might not have time to read a physical book but can get my "reading" in during my commute (which is an hour long each way and which I have to do anyway). I personally can't use them when I exercise, though, because I don't walk/etc. as fast as I'd like when listening to one compared to when I listen to upbeat music.
