To trick myself into the smaller portions, I used a salad plate.

The small plate doesn't look so empty. I was able to portion my foods to the right portion. The smaller plate worked in the way that the plate did not look so empty.

More Information:

The smaller portions filled the salad plate in the same way the out of control portions fill the regular plate.
Plus, people did not realize that I was dieting- so there were no comments and stares either.

  • This really works. You can use disposable plates instead of salad plates too, as they are 8-9 inches instead of the huge modern size. - by LEAN-N-LEXY
