When it feels hard my secret is to breathe. I breathe out all the tension, bad vibes, negativity. I breathe in positive energy, power, and fresh air! It is almost as if I am meditating and exercising with breathing!

I did this for the first time today. I was subbing in a class with rambunctious 4th graders. I breathed, tapped and accepted my feelings. As I did it, my energy was rising. I wasn't depleted when I left, I felt amazing. I went downstairs and settled for the rest of my day. But it was the breath that did it. Thanks for sharing!

I also think this helps me focus on what I'm doing and not on how I'm feeling about the stress or other negativity. Thanks for sharing this.

I do the same thing when I'm running and just need that extra push. It relaxes me and energizes me and gets me over that hump to finish strong. Great tip!

Mindfulness is always helpful, and this mantra of breathing out the negative and breathing in the positive is a good step toward being mindful while we exercise.

Breathing correctly is a very important part of exercising. It helps to keep the muscles from getting tense.

Never short-cut Stretching!!
Always stretch fully after exercise, and if you can't exercise then stretch anyway!! Stretches make rthe exercise count!!
To exercise more consistently find what inspires you about exercise. For example, I find that when I exercise my mood improves a lot and thats why I exercise more than to just lose weight. This response is immediate within 20 minutes of beginning my exercise, whereas losing weight takes weeks and months, so I concentrate on how exercise makes me feel more than on just the weight loss aspect.
