Surprised? Popcorn is good for you as long as you don't cover it with loads of butter. Not to mention that 3 cups of popcorn=1 serving of grain (surprised?)! Instead of butter, try adding popcorn seasoning that you can find in your local grocery store.

You can also use BBQ seasoning (the powder in the shakers). I once found, in the store, a man sampling BBQ seasoning. He was sampling it on popcorn. I tried it, and couldn't believe how tasty it made the popcorn. I bought the seasoning simply so I could put it on popcorn!

Since I've been eating healthy, I am always still hungry in the evening after dinner. I like to snack on air-popped popcorn. I usually have it sweet with just a touch of honey, maple syrup or molasses.
1 cup of air popped popcorn = 31 calories 1 tsp. honey/molasses/maple syrup = 20 calories
I typically use a 1/2 teaspoon sweet stuff per cup of popcorn, and I can usually afford to eat 2 or 3 cups, and it's a healthy low cal treat. Add some salt and you have Kettle Corn!

If you have to have it buttery, use a lower calorie spread like Best Life or Smart Balance. Be sure to measure your portions, and if you use 1 teaspoon per cup of popcorn (1 Tablespoon per 3 cups) it's still around 50-60 calories per cup of popcorn.
