A routine is important. Doing things in order & on schedule keeps you moving forward.

On days when motivation is lost having a routine keeps you maintaining instead of gaining.

Make a habit of just doing your routine. When motivation returns you won't have as much ground to re-cover.

Habits can be hard to break, good and bad alike.

Not having high calorie snacks and foods in the house helps keep the diet in check, and a routine keeps your exercise going.
