How many times have you refused a piece of cake or donut etc and said 'Oh I'm on a diet', then feel as though you have been deprived of somehthing? Well don't be on a diet, and DECIDE not eat that piece of cake or donut. Give the power back to you - you have DECIDED not consume that item, your diet did not DICTATE it to you. I never say I am on a diet any more, I simply make choices each day, I find I am much happier with myself and make healthier choices beacause of it.
Cut back on the beef and pork! I know, I know juicy steaks, pork chops, BACON, ham, mouth watering ribs, oh so yummy cheddar bratwurst, sausage and so on.. The results are astounding when you cut back on red meats/ pork. Now don't get me wrong I am not suggesting that you cut it complete from your diet. Trust me when you eat less meat product and more veggies your body thanks you! You can feel the good it does..strange yes but so good!
Moderation and substitution are the keys! Turkey Bacon, Turkey Sausage(so yummy),fish. Ever heard of Boca?!? Veggie Burgers, veggie chicken patties, sausage, and "beef" crumbles.. they all taste so good and the burgers are amazing! Less fat, Less calories plus you can still eat beef/pork in moderation.
