I have found that I am more successful at working out if I go to work out before I go to work. There is a gym at my office and it has pretty much everything I need. But the best part about it is that I'm not a morning person so I don't have to be dressed up to go to the gym.
I can just bum out for the work out. And it wakes me up and I can get ready afterwords and feel refreshed at work.

My daughter who is 18 is probably in the obese category. I have asked her directly to take a look at SparkTeen but she refuses. What I realized is that the indirect approach seems to have more effect. I make sure to track when she is in the room. I measure my food and she notices because we are often in the kitchen together. Slowly I hope to show good habits, be available for questions and stoke that slow burning fire so that when she is ready she will have the tools and information available.
