I've always been a gamer however being a gamer means sitting on your butt for extended amounts of time & not exercising.
So, in order to play 4 hours of Xbox 360, I have to spend 2 hours exercising, at least 3 times a week. Of course, during the semester, 2 hours of exercise = 4-6 hours of study time. Funny how that works out!
I try to snack on fruit & healthier snacks during game time whether it's on a console or gaming on the PC.
Make a variation on an old game to tunr it into a Spark Meet up activity. Have Pin the Tail on the Donkey be Pin the veggie on the salad. Or have the Mail game be played by asking "stand up if you had a banana today" For games check this site..http://urbanext.illinois.edu/party/games.html
Pay for everything with cash-do you need it or want it?
We have gone to an envelope system again after several years of not doing so and have saved a great deal just by paying cash for everything we buy, including groceries. You really think about if you need it or want it when you are paying cash!
I've gone from spending $140-150 per week on groceries to $70-75 by purchasing my groceries at ALDI and paying cash.
