Do What You Love, Don'T Force What You Don'T...

Don't try to force yourself to do exercises or activities that you don't enjoy (i.e., if you don't like to run, or yoga isn't for you). Instead, concentrate on building on the activities that make you feel successful. Experiment with adding intensity and/ or duration to activities you love!

emoticon It is true that doing activities we love is easiest to stick with them. However, sometimes it is necessary to keep up those exercises that we would rather ignore. Dealing with arthritis pain, for example, makes me want to limit those movements that are painful. I love to sit and read a book! Not a good idea, when I should be forcing myself to walk.
