BLPRETTYGIRL1 8/31/2013 5:43:00 PM

Been at it all summer in the lake.. Easier on the knees than walking on land.
GOLDTAG1 8/31/2013 10:19:00 AM

I have been going to the Y and to my community pool several times a week and swim the length of the pool several times and also tread water. Both feel good when I'm done and I think I am getting a great workout!
APSIE068 8/31/2013 9:14:00 AM

I'm just not a big fan of exercise, treadmills, steppers etc BUT this summer I really have gotten into swimming! Instead of dreading going to the gym, I really look forward to my swim workouts. I started off only being able to swim 4 lengths of the pool - now, it's almost September and I comfortably swim 18 lengths of the pool- that's a quarter mile. I'm losing inches for sure- not sure about the scale tho- but I feel great! I've never actually "looked forward" to working out but now I do. The swimming has really changed my outlook on hitting the gym.
VAINVT 8/31/2013 7:51:00 AM

A real failing on my part - I exercise a lot, but just can't get into water exercises. It's good for my older body, excellent for your muscles, and even good for a condition I have called lymphedema, but I'm not enthusiastic...
TUBLADY 3/31/2012 8:31:00 PM

I have water aerobics class 5 days a week, sometimes I go on Saturday. On Mon.. Wed and Fri. I do the class after my circuit training and it feels real good.
I have arthritis and did have some bad knees, till I had them replaced, so water exercise is good for those reasons.
I often go to the pool and swim laps. It's relaxes me to be in the water.
INGMARIE 3/31/2012 4:45:00 PM

    love it. thanks.
FRIENDOFBACH 3/31/2012 4:27:00 PM

only problem is those who have no pool and can't afford to pay for gyms or other places to swim.
LESLIE56 3/31/2012 3:43:00 PM

I go to water aerobics 3 times a week, and this really inspired me. sometimes I feel I'm not getting the good results, that those "on land" get. My joints are bad, so I have no choice, except, I also ride my bike. emoticon
ILOVEJIM851991 3/31/2012 1:10:00 PM

I love swimming and swim at least twice a week attempting to average 3-4 miles per week. With my bad knee it's a great cardio workout

And I've noticed that I'm not as sore the next morning. My muscles feel like they've been used, but I don't have that uncomfortable stiffness and aches.
