I have a daily flip calendar on my desk. At the end of the year when I replace the old pages with the new, I clip the old ones together and use them as a note pad on my desk for miscellaneous notes, calls, numbers, whatever. It saves me from using new note pads!

I'm busy at home with a newborn everyday. Exercise is the last thing on my mind sometimes. But saying " My daughter needs some fresh air" is no longer about me and my health, but hers. So I force myself to go for at least a 30 minute walk.
After the walk I feel better about myself, and better knowing she's not sitting cooped up at home all day.
Weigh and measure everything that you cook and eat! Most of us suffer from proportion distortion and underestimate what we eat. When you take the time to measure liquids and weigh solids, you will come to learn just how much you're eating!
But a good set of measuring spoons and cups and a good digital kitchen scale -- it will be worth every dime!
