My secret is so strange that I'm a little embarrassed to post it. However, I've been doing this for at least 8 years and the rhythmic chanting helps me still! I happen to LOVE exercise, but chanting (occasionally) helps me to improve my speed to reach my goals.

MORE INFORMATION:
I do NOT do this all the time, but when a work out gets super tough like a steep incline on the bike, I might say to myself, "Spin with power, do not quit!" until I conquer the hill. If I am tiring while walk/jogging, I may chant, "Shoulders back, stomach in, stride from the hips."

    You're not alone. I, too, chant a lot when I'm out walking.

    I do this too, I have two of them for hard workouts, one is from finding Nemo "Just keep swimming,Just keepswimming" the other is the Rihanna "Run Run" song It has the perfect rhythm for the elliptical trainer I say it each time my knee comes up.
