I agree with you. When I get up early and exercise it really makes a difference in my morning and life which makes the day feel more complete. That is the next best thing to my morning devotation.

It doesn't come naturally - ooooh no! When we have to get up for a 7am personal trainer session at the gym, 10 miles away, having to set the alarm for 5.30 in order to shower, dress, have breakfast, sort out the dogs in order to leave at 6.30 well, it seems grim. However, as soon as we walk into the gym, all bets are off and we 'go for it'. Getting home by 9-9.30am is a huge bonus and the smug feeling of satisfaction at having done the exercising already, well, it really is worth repeating. So we do. But I don't think we will ever spring out of bed with excitement!

You are all giving food for thought. I am not a morning person but have often considered morning workouts then quickly dismissed them. Recently been thinking about it again. The Y has several early morning classes that would be a great start. Going to start ny waking 15 minutes earlier. I think it will take about 1 month to get up 1 hr earlier. Here I go.
Thank you all for the motivation.

Exercising early in the mornings is really great, cannot wait for the doctor to give me the o.k. so that I can do my morning exercises again. Miss my morning exercises so bad.
DELLMEL 4/6/2014 2:01:00 PM

I love to do it in the morning. The best.
KAHCRNA 4/6/2014 12:35:00 PM

I agree...getting up early sets the tone of the day. Your'e READY...ALERT and Watching.... something about the stillness of the house, being the first one up and paving the way is inspiring in and of itself.
VAINVT 4/6/2014 7:32:00 AM

Doing it early gets my endorphin going, and I am happier, too.
KARENKURTZ1 7/15/2010 6:38:00 PM

The best part of the day is the early hours of the morning when I hit the road for a jog and then go swimming. I feel like a stealth bomber, getting my workout in before anyone else gets up. Plus the air is cleaner and less filled with car exhaust.
