Every time we plan supper, and have salad, I change up the salad depending on what the main dish is. We vary the kinds of greens, add craisins, celery, or what have you to make it different. I also decide on the dressing based on the main course. It alleviates boredom and is soo good!

Try something similar to your old standards but with a slightly different flavor, color, or texture.
This is a really great way to get yourself more involved with vegetables and fruits. I like to choose items with bright colors, interesting shapes, or enticing scents. I find a dish designed to showcase that food and then pay attention to flavor and texture.
Ever since reading the SP article re: diversity of the Japanese & their eating, including 30 different items eaten in a day using different colors, textures, I've made it a goal to "eat 30." Salads, soups with veggies, ww pasta with veggies, plus plenty of fruits. Can't believe how easy it is!
