Don't wait until you reach your *ideal* weight to wear nice clothes. Buy clothes you like that fit your body now. You'll feel better about yourself and more motivated to start/continue with getting in shape. As you lose weight, continue to purchase clothes in smaller sizes - being able to see your transition will be helpful. Wearing baggy, ill-fitting clothing is not flattering.
Buy yourself an article of clothing that's just a bit too small for you to wear comfortably, then instead of weighing yourself everyday(or every week) try putting on that piece of clothing to see if it fits you any better. Visualize yourself fitting into it and looking good wearing it.
