I am trying to make sure that I always keep a positive twist on the things I need to do such as how I eat or whether I exercise. I focus on the outcome I want not the steps I have to take to get there and just let them come as they will.

Are you going through a spell where it's just too difficult to meet daily goals, or you just don't feel like it anymore? Then act "as if." Act as if you've already lost the weight, no matter what the scale says. Act as if you've already run a 10K, even if it's a pain to get off the couch. Smile even if you don't feel like smiling. Today I was with my 80 + girlfriend and my husbands friend is also 80 and both are just as alert and healthy . I hope I can live that long and have an alert mind. You see people that are fifty and their minds are slipping. I hope with what I do in keeping healthy and keeping my mind working by reading, being involved, that I can live to a ripe old age alert.
