If you start by using a smaller plate before you dish up you will find that the plate "looks" fuller but the portions are smaller!!

    After reading the article "Portion Distortion" this is one of the first things I started doing AND getting a scale to weigh my food. Almost to my goal, so it IS working!!!

    This was one of the first things I started doing when I realized my portions were out of control! It's a tremendous help as long as you make sure not to cheat by overfilling the salad plate :) *guilty*
