I keep bags of chopped onions, bell peppers, garlic, and green onions in my freezer. This cuts down on prep time and saves money bacause you can buy in bulk!

    GOOD JOB! - by TWEETZ
  • I do this with bell peppers what a good idea to do it for onions and garlic.

  • I do too. But I’ve done this for years. You see, I simply hate the tedium and mess of prep for dishes. So, quite often if I don’t have the stuff already chopped up, I just leave it out.

By chopping larger quantities (2 onions at a time, a bunch of shallots, several bunches of green onions) at one time (takes me about 20 minutes a week), and putting them in separate ziplocks, I can have my onions and eat them too! (Not quite as good as cake, but almost as tasty when added to the right dishes.
