I have so many of these that I haven't bought the cloth grocery bags yet. Every time I shop, I put the same bags all into one bag and put the one bag in the back seat of my car. Then whenever I stop at a store, I grab a few. It makes all the difference to have them in plain sight.
(By the way, I wish Spark would add Green Tips or Recycling to their categories.)

I have a daily flip calendar on my desk. At the end of the year when I replace the old pages with the new, I clip the old ones together and use them as a note pad on my desk for miscellaneous notes, calls, numbers, whatever. It saves me from using new note pads!
Recycling is good - recycling before recycling is even better 224
Instead of throwing used batteries away, they should be recycled. I use a Ziploc bag and hang it from one of the keyhooks in our kitchen. Once the bag is full, we take them to our local hazardous waste facility for recycling. You can recycle cell phone batteries, alkaline batteries, etc. this way.
This also works for recycling plastic bottle caps. Most salons that carry Aveda products will take plastic bottle caps to be recycled. Check www.aveda.com for a salon near you. Then save the caps in Ziploc bags to take to salon when full. They take shampoo, salad dressing, milk jug caps, etc.
We have five recycling bins: plastic bags, paper, plastic bottles, glass, and cans. Plus I seem to have accumulated several cloth bags that I take shopping with me but if I should forget to take them, as mentioned previously, I recycle the plastic and paper bags, too.
