I try to make sure I am moving as much as possible, even though I also have to keep watching what I would eat.

The best reason for me going to the mall is to walk around and get my steps in for the day. It's easy and doesn't feel like I'm over exerting myself.

I exercise because my body has learned to crave movement. I love how I feel after a good sweaty workout!! I cant agree with the idea that I can eat more or something because I work out I find that I can never work off the calories of the food I think I can eat because of a workout. I am glad it works for you...wish it did for me...I'd have more chocolate

I exercise as much as I can. But not to eat more, I don't want to fall into that habit. If I am unable to exercise as much, then I am used to eating more , and I have to struggle to reduce my food habit. I have already adjusted how much I eat, that enabled me to lose 200 lbs, I am not gong to try to eat more. It's better to exercise for fitness , not to expect more food. Tisha

I agree with Nestisempty, I do the same

This works only if you move more than you eat! You can not workout your way to lose weight and keep eating!

Love it all except the eat more part. Well I love that too but can't do.

I do exercise to keep in shape, healthy and balanced. Also, I need to move and not be a couch potato, so I do need to fuel my body with healthy eating habits to stay in shape and be healthy.

this makes so much sense and yet I don't do as much as I can and often ignore opportunities to move more.

A good thing to keep in mind. Thank you!

I work out 30mins a day but i don't feel that is enough. I have to change my eating habits to better habits. I do feel better when I work out and I like that part. All the comments and stories are very helpful.

no argument from me. That's what I do

I try to exercise as much as possible by walking but it doesn't do anything to help me feel better by packing on the food lbs.
LYNCHD056/22/2012 12:01:00 PM
moving is always better. I wear a pedometer and that really makes me realize just how many steps I take in a day. It keeps at the forefront, parking at the end of lots, climbing stairs, etc. When I go to the gym it is not a problem, it is the non gym days that I have to watch!
DEARTOMYHEART6/22/2012 11:52:00 AM
I'm happy that works for you but I still need to lose for my health. I don't deprive, I work it into my plan. Thanks for sharing what works for you. Enjoy you Friday.

I like to do that as well. You don't want to feel deprived and having lots of activity will let you eat more.
GINGERVISTA6/22/2012 8:11:00 AM
Hmmmmm, never thought of that. I exercise to be healthier & more fit & am still in the process of losing weight. Maybe when I reach goal (not that far away) I'll do the same thing!

Keep Moving to Keep Moving
A year ago my arthritic knees had gotten so bad I was barely walking. It was a vicious circle, it hurt to move so I stopped moving which made my joints worse so I moved even less. The doctor recommended a round of physical therapy and regular pool exercise which got me moving again. I still have pain but I can walk and move normally through daily activities again. The lesson I finally learned is to keep moving to keep moving, especially when you don't feel like it!
If people only ate when they felt true hunger, few of us would struggle with our weight. So why (and where) are we eating so much, and what can we do about it? Start here.
