As an emotional eater, I am constantly sneaking in positive reminders to myself in various formats. I particularly like when my mobile phone calendar alarm sounds off at 6:00am with a daily motivational reminder like: “Act as if today is a great day!” or “Act as if I am strong, lean, healthy, and sexy”.
Somehow, it always seems to shift whatever mood I'm in at the moment.
I made very upbeat and sparkly cards with each pound I want to lose with scrapbooking supplies. I post them up on a wall that leads to my kitchen. Every time I lose a pound I tear up the old card and and post the new card. It feels good to tear up the old weight and its a positive reminder of what I am doing!
