    I try to get lots of walking when on vacation. When we take a cruise, we can start by simply using the stairs instead of the elevator. I noticed that my husband and I do more walking when we are out of town, so I am happy for that.

    Vacations are a great time to get in some extra walking and water exercises.

    In almost every case, I get more exercise while on vacation than I do in my normal life. I want tosee and do everything ...which keeps me moving. It does not hurt to have a husband who is a gym rat...we inevitablyspend a little time in the resorts gym! Love it so dont just lay on it!!

    We walk on our vacations. When we are planning our vacations we try to go where we can walk and hike and be with nature. The peace nature brings, it just doesn't get any better then that. Come home relaxed and ready to go again. emoticon emoticon

    I actually think we end up walking more when on vacation, as we always find new trails to walk or go along the beach collecting washed-up shells. When we are going along this way, we aren't even aware of how far we've walked, and we get know both the area and the other residents!

    My 29-year-old daughter is my inspiration. She's hiked in Israel, Costa Rica, Scotland, Hawaii, trained for a Marathon in Alaska, climbs (small) mountains, snowshoes & snowboards in Telluride......We plan a trip to Australia in 2014 & we can be SURE we'll be doing a 'walkabout' in the Outback!!!

    I always take the laptop or portable DVD player and DVDs that I can do in the room too. It can be very easy to exercise on vacation. If you at the shore, walk the beach, great workout! I also like to take or rent a bike to switch it up on vacation. emoticon
