I ran out of business size envelopes. I pay my bills on line but all my Mom's bills (which I do) have to go out snail mail. I took the mail back envelopes from my bills and reused them on my Moms by placing a sticker over the address. Saved trees, too!

I have found this method to work for saving money: get envelopes and label them with your bills you pay monthly (ie mortgage, light bill, water bill, etc.) and label one envelope Miscellaneous. Each month put the amount you owe on the bill plus $10 in the envelope. Pay the miscellaneous envelope $20. Once you pay all your bills, move the money from the other envelopes to the miscellaneous envelope and watch your money build up!
Around 3:30 at work and on the drive home, vending machines & drive-throughs were defeating me. I dream of travel (when I'm small enough to fit in 1 airline seat again!). I put "Travel" on an envelope and each time I want to get something, put the $ in the envelope instead. I've done this for just four days so far, lost 2 pounds, and have $20 in the envelope!253
I haven't decided how I'll use the $ yet: buying myself a suitcase for an overnight car trip? An overnight at a romantic hotel with dear husband? I am surprised at how fast $ is accumulating: I wasn't tracking this impulse food.
Any time I get unsolicited mail with postage paid return envelopes I send the empty envelope back through the mail. This way the US Postal service gets paid and it might just keep the cost of stamps down a little. I don't send anything back in the envelope so there is no risk or financial charge to me.
