Every weekend I sit down for an hour and plan my menu including snacks for the next week. I type it up and post it on my frig. I will plan down to how many calories I will have each day. I make sure that I have about 4 weeks of menus and rotate them. I also try a new recipe each week.

    I do the same thing except I use a small erasable white board to plan menus and another to plan a grocery list (saves paper too). I always plan one extra meal during the week and have ingredients on hand so that I can choose meals that fit the day and fit the time i have. It really does take the hassle out of coming home and wondering what I will make for dinner. I have also discovered that we eat healthier when I plan for the menus in advance because I can think through well balanced meals.

    I as well write up my menu for the week along with a back up plan then I prepare what is needed for that week, no worry or stress when it comes to meals. love it and it really works!

    I used to do this, but got out of the habit ... and promptly went off track. Needless to say I am planning meals (and cooking!) this weekend. It really works!
