Never let extra wine turn to vinegar- save it this way!
How many of you have opened a bottle of wine to get 1/2 cup for a recipe- then had the bottle go bad before you drank it? How many of you have opened a bottle of wine & decided it really wasn't that great other than possibly for cooking? (how many recipes can you make requiring wine? Right?) How about all those partial bottles left from a party?With this handy tip- you'll never allow wine to go to waste again, plus it will always be handy in pre-measured amounts- right at your fingertips
Measure 1/4 1//3 and 1/2 cup amounts into ziplock baggies. Sharpie Label each with the amount it has, squeeze all the air out of each baggie & freeze( I have a door shelf for wine)Doesn't matter what kind of wine it is because most recipes call for either red or white so mixing 2 kinds won't hurt!
