I am a big believer in not "dieting" anymore. I am making a life change and in life I like ice cream or bacon or going out to eat with my hubby on date night. In the past I'd have for gone those things in the name of a "diet" which wouldn't last long...Now I am more apt to allow myself a treat now

MORE INFORMATION:
and again when I want one.... I opt for low fat ice cream out of the house (so there isn't a half gallon in my fridge) or eat a serving of that candy... as long as it fits in my calorie count for the day. I don't feel like i am losing out and still losing weight!

    I agree. I don't diet and have never really followed one. I like the idea of living a better lifestyle and making choices based on that. I went on date night with my husband to The Keg and had sourdough bread with real butter, 2 glasses of red wine and a 2 pound whole lobster. I planned ahead and checked out the calorie count and accounted for everything I ate. I stayed within my range that day, but man was I so full! We came home and had to go for a brisk walk because we weren't use to eating so much or the richness of all that lobster.

If I want chocolate I make it happen, ice cream ...whatever. I just find the healthy alternative that I can live with and is within my range.
