It's important to me that I replace less healthy choices with better alternatives. I have given myself permission to eat ANYTHING in the produce department. It gives me so many healthy options and reminds me that a plant-based diet is the way to eat!
Don't Overcook Broccoli Steam Broccoli 4 mintues only to reap it's cancer fighting properties. An Apple a day is also good cancer fighter. Studies have demonstrated that people who eat a plant-based diet rich in fruits, vegetables, & whole grains have a significantly lower risk of developing many types of cancers and certainly chronic disease. Pineapple helps Breast and lung cancers. Green & black teas are good for their cancer fighting abilities. Eat berries, tomatoes, garlic, pumpkin.
I take a large pot in the spring time & plant chocolate mint, lemon balm,peppermint,chamomile ,rosemary & thyme I have it sitting on my porch & every time I would walk by I would take my hand & starting at the base of the plant bring my hand right up through the plants & smell my hands. Well I bring the pot in during the winter & do the same thing the aroma smells so sweet. I pull out the seed & plant books anxiously waiting to plant in the warm months ahead.
