Secrets of Success

Online Cooking Magazines Through Your Public Library

My local public library has a database of electronic resources, including eBooks, digital audio files of books on tape, online newspapers, etc. I have recently discovered that in the periodical databases, issues of many popular cooking magazines are available in PDF format- for free!

More Information:

I have free access to current and archived issues of magazines such as Vegetarian Times, Gourmet, Martha Stewart Living, etc. through the database called MasterFILE Premier. Ask your public librarian!

How amazing ~ I just ordered 4 copies, 2 each of 2 magazines, so I could find one that has good nutrition information for our branch. Our manager will order it if I find a good one. We have exercise magazines, but not a good nutrition one. I am going to look outside the library system for other possible magazines we could select from, not jsut the ones we are used to. So this suggestion is great! Books and magazines are our friends.
