When I am maintaining my healthy habits, from eating fruits and veggies to getting my fiber in to staying in my calorie range, I feel more in control of other parts of my life. And vice versa. It's such a great feeling that when I slip, I remember how much I like control and I get back on track.

If staying in calorie range is the most difficult part of your journey, try setting a lower weight-loss rate so you will have a higher calorie range. Adjusting your goal from 2 lb/week to 1 lb/week makes is so you can eat approximately 500 more calories per day!
This higher range is more like maintenance, anyway!
