Each day for the year I eliminate one item of from my house. I have 2 boxes, one upstairs and one downstairs. When I come across something I no longer use or need, it goes into the box and the box is donated when full. I keep a running list of donations so I have a sense of accomplshment.

Every day pick one thing to declutter, be it a drawer, a counter or your desk. Get a paper shedder and shred old bills or papers you no longer need, toss out anything you have not used in a year and give away any old clothes you no longer wear (like your old fat clothes), In no time at all your house will be less cluttered and look great!
If you see it all at one time it is overwhelming but to do one thing a day is less stressful and easy. After all there are 365 days in a year, so that is 365 things you decluttered in one year!
Have a goal for today. It can be anything one self improvement goal. It can be physical health related, money related, or about relationships. If you complete just one thing today that is one success tomorrow is the opportunity for another success. In a year that is 365 wins.
Last Christmas I gave my best friend a 'love box' , a box of notes (365 of them) about why I love her so much and what makes her great.
So I think its a great idea to make our own 'love box' so on days we feel less then perfect and have the idealism of "who cares? this weight is not coming off, I am just going to give up" that you pull one of those I love you notes to your self and remind yourself why you are worth because we are all worth it!!
