When I run on the treadmill, if I spend too much time watching the clock I tend to get bored and stop sooner. I distract myself by finding a tv show I like that's longer than the time I want to run. I get into the show and end up running more because I want to see how it turns out.
I've started recording shows on the PVR so there's always something available that I like.
When you are doing exercises like spinning or walking, there are other ways to use your mind other than watching the clock. Time passes very quickly when I pray or meditate; I am built up spiritually, emotionally, as well as physically. 324311332313315
One of the biggest timesavers is to set a timer/alarm to go off when you need to start dinner. On days you’re so busy to watch the clock, it can get too late to start cooking a meal. Actually, setting the timer to remind you it is time to do any task can be a huge timesaver.
