I have found it helpful to eat the right portion of the stuff that is good, least favorite first, for you first then move 2 the others.

I love pizza and can't live without it so I made myself eat a veggie. Then moved onto Cottage cheese with fruit. Instead of 3 pieces of pizza I ate 1. :)
