Going slowly in the beginning is working for me. Using a program of walking daily I'm doing something good for myself and developing what I hope is a lifetime habit. I like to think I'm building a solid foundation.

    Take your time because at the end of the day this is a life altering experience that can be sustained if you do it slowly. emoticon emoticon emoticon

    I'm a relative beginner here, and walking has pretty much been the extent of my exercise. It's an easy way to get your heart rate going, burn some calories, and not spend a bunch of money on specialty equipment or memberships to clubs. I take my dogs with me and they get some exercise and fresh air, too. Now I need to figure out how to convince them that they don't need to sniff every other blade of grass or pee everywhere that some other dog has...

I did buy the Spark workout DVD, and look forward to using it once I figure out how to hook up my DVD player with the Directv box... lol!
