Walking shoes with the rounded bottoms . These are good for WALKING only and on smooth surfaces. Not comfortable with a side to side motion or on uneven surfaces. like trail! I probably would not invest in these again for my needs.

More Information:

Because of the rounded bottoms of these PLEASE be extra careful on stairs!

  • I have worn the Skechers Shape Ups since October 2009. Once I got used to them I do think they are more comfortable and better for Strictly Walking than other shoes I have worn. However I do NOT recommend them for running or Trail walking or Hiking on uneven Paths. Shopping and walking around the neighborhood they are GREAT!! - by LJCANNON
  • I agree I wasted my $ on them too. Only wore mine a few times b/c I feel like they look like orthopedic shoes I don't wear them anymore. I want to try the vibram five's next & hope to get more use out of those. - by VENISEW1
  • They clearly are not meant for hiking, running, or anything but a flat, hard surface--however, if you have plantar fascitis, they are the greatest thing ever. I can now walk pain free. - by LADYCALICO
  • I have 2 pair of the Shape Ups and love them. When I go for long walks I can definitely feel them working my legs and backside. I am on my feet for long periods of time and they are more comfortable for that then any other shoes I have/had. I've noticed when walking around the neighborhood on sidewalks and pavement my back does not bother me like it does when I wear other shoes. - by BABIE_JANE
  • Thanks for the info - by SMITHANI
  • Good to know. I was considering getting a pair but I can only afford one pair of shoes so I need something I can use on wooded trails. - by TKTMTA
  • these shoes are designed for walking, not hiking. i wont even wear them out on my farm with all the uneven surfaces. - by LUCKYDOGFARM
  • I bought these and ended up returning them. I found that they were just cut to high on my ankle and rubbed my ankle bone. - by GAYLLYNNE
  • I have a pair of these and definitely think they work my legs more than regular sneakers. I only wear them when I am walking for exercise and I would not use them on a tread mill or to run in. - by STPJUDGE
