Last year i read an article about how shampoo leaves a residue on your hair and it advised washing your hair with baking soda. i started doing that every day and by the end of a month, my hair was no longer a dry, brittle, frizzy mess. and it isn't greasy either! my hair is shiny and curly now!
of course, you have to have curly hair to begin with! i dissolve 1-2 tbsp in warm water and use it just like i would shampoo. you can buy a 5 lb bag of it at costco for 6 bucks. think of all the cash you will save on shampoo! and you will have great hair too!

I buy the gallon jugs of shampoo and conditioner at places such as Sallys Beauty Supply for about $6-9 per gallon. I pour them into old shampoo bottles and just refill as needed. (no spillage by using the smaller bottles in the shower!)
This also reduces my impact on the environment because I don't buy sp many bottles!
