I keep canned chicken in pantry for emergencies. I drain the broth from can into a jar that I keep in the freezer before using the chicken. When a recipe calls for chicken broth, I have some waiting in the freezer without purchasing more containers of chicken broth.
Make Your Rice Portion Seem Bigger When You're REAL Hungry!
Cook rice (with broth and herbs to make it tasty) to use or freeze. If frozen, Idefrost it the night before. Spray Pam on wok. Heat rice in the wok over high heat with diced raw onions and garlic. As it cooks add broth to it, a little at a time - 1/4c broth for 1/2c rice . The broth will be absorbed by the rice. Add raw vegetables to rice and toss together. Stir over high heat for 3min. Cover the wok, turn off the heat and let it all steam 2 minutes. Great for when you're real hungry!
